On my word!

Well I am very, very lucky to have this beautiful piece. Alan Warner himself gave me this, from his own personal collection, as a thank-you for the new website I built to showcase his magic warner.qualitymagic.com. This was a most wonderful surprise, since this is one of his very early teak pieces, that he discontinued years ago.

The effect is simple but beautiful of course. For full details click here.

This really is a very beautiful piece – did I say I was very, very pleased to receive this today? Thank-you Alan very much!

Harry Potter I presume?

Harry Potter is such a huge success, anything that reminds people of it can be bathed with similar success! And what better scene to remember than the final showdown of Wizard’s Chess?

That clever guy Lee Woodside came up with this great routine that is simple to do but really quite a fooler. The basic premise of the effect is that you show a box of chess pieces that fought bravely in a recent game of Wizard’s Chess. You turn your back and ask the spectator to choose one of the broken pieces and conceal it in their fist. Without facing the audience the performer of course is able to divulge their chosen piece.

The method is simple, but works. Lee Woodside has a quite amazing list of interesting and unusal effects, click here for some examples.

Wow! Beautiful, Magical, and Entertaining!

The latest creation from master craftsman Alan Warner certainly delivers! The detail on the boxes is incredible – it really is magical just to look at them. I know why there are so few inventors out there making this sort of magic: because Craftsmanship like Alan’s is in very, very short supply.

The effect and patter line are entertaining and the basic effect is a simple transportation from one box to the other. Not a new method or theme, but with these props and the patter line its still a beauty.

I know Alan really puts his heart and soul into his work, and for this effect it is very obvious he does so. If you have not seen any of Alan’s work up close, its about time you did. You will not be dissappointed.

Keep any eye open for a new site dedicated 100% to this wonderful creator: warner.qualitymagic.com – it will be live soon!

Easy and Very, Very Convincing

I love it when you get a trick that is clever, well made, and so easy to do!

This is one such effect and I tried it out tonight and my daughter was blown away.

Basically the needle becomes threaded onto the ribbon in a seemingly impossible manner. Very clean and straight forward magic.

Great job and so easy to do!

Useful Rainbow Deck with Real Cards

Here is a Rainbow deck made out of 52 real cards from various Las Vegas Casinos. Comes with some extra cards too. The cards are not new but that adds to their realism.

I’m sure this will come in use at some time when I have a gambling themed effect.

Houdini eat your heart out!

Here’s a neat little close-up miracle based on the Substitution Trunk. Two cards are shown the queen and the king, and they changes places very cleanly.

The props are well crafted and the effect is certainly easy to do and convincing.
