Dragon and Tiger Rings Temple by Magic Wagon

(c. 2022) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Another perfectly crafted item from Magic Wagon which looks great and is relatively easy to do if a little fiddley. As far as an effect goes you can tell a lot but by how animated the vidoes are. This is the second effect in a row where Madison has not even bothered to speak … that pretty much tells you what he thinks of it … 🙂

I think the last two items for 2022 were not so great after a very strong year. Maybe it makes more sense to produce one a quarter and focus on quality effects instead of just well made boxes? Just a thought – Magic Wagon produce amazing items but they do need to entertain the audience too, so don’t forget the routines.

Effect: The performer displays a beautiful ornate cabinet and removes the front door showing it to be completely empty. He then places the dragon (red) and tiger (blue) rings on the floor of the cabinet and closes the door. The spectator is now asked to choose one of the two rings. There is absolutely no force at this point or elimination of any kind used. The performer then picks up a golden wand and shows it to be perfectly solid. The wand is then inserted through the holes on the sides of the cabinet with both ends remaining in full view. Now, the performer snaps his fingers and the spectator can hear the sound of a solid object as it hits the wand. Surprisingly, when the door is again opened, the chosen ring is now seen hanging on the wand! The only way to release the ring is to, in fact, remove the wand first. It is a stunning and inexplicable effect!

• The ring selection is completely free and there is absolutely no force of any kind!
• The effect is completely self-contained with nothing added or taken away!
• The effect can be immediately repeated and, of course, it is completely mechanical in operation!

The entire outfit has been delicately and individually handcrafted by our own exclusive artist and because of the method and the amount of detail involved, it has taken almost 9 months to complete this release.

The cabinet only, without the front door in place, measures approximately 15.5cms wide, 10.5cms high and 9cms deep. Each ring measures approximately 44mm in diameter with 7mm in height.

The photos really do not do justice to this very elaborate piece of magic apparatus. This is, without question, one of the finest and most exquisitely detailed effects we have ever produced and it is absolutely stunning in appearance!

Special thanks to Mr. Tony Curtis for coming up with the name for this effect.

Magic Wagon has released too many ring penetration effects. If I remember right, this is the last one they’ve put out so far. I think most people are getting tired of it. The method has already been used in their earlier works. What surprises me is – since they’ve done this before, why not improve it? Especially since they made a beautiful tiger carving, but you can’t proudly show it to people. That just feels so weird!
