Enchanted Chambers of Sea-Ling by Richard Gerlitz
(c. 2001) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This is one of the very first high-end items that Richard produced and it was an instant success! Richard only produced 12 of these and to this day they are very hard to find. This is so beautiful and cleverly made that you are sorely tempted to actually get some Goldfish to perform it live!
Effect: Goldfish were rare in the Orient, and it was believed whoever possessed one would acquire great riches. When a greedy ruler heard a local was raising them, he sent his Samurai to seize the fish and built a beautiful chamber to house his treasure. However Sea-Ling possessed great power, and thought the fish should be available to everyone. One night while the great ruler slept, Sea-Ling returned as a dragon and took back what was rightfully his. Soon everyone in the dynasty had a Goldfish for good luck.
Gold fish are placed into the first tank. First tank is covered with decorative dragon tube. The tube is removed and shown empty. The fish have vanished! The second tank is then covered with the dragon tube. When the tube is removed, the fish have re-materialized in the second tank!
Each of the chambers is uniquely gimmicked to mechanically make the fish appear and vanish.
