Six Bill Repeat by Tom Bowyer, Tommy Tucker
(c. 1936) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This was created by Tom Bowyer c. 1936 and based upon Tommy Tucker’s Six Card Repeat. It was featured in Genii Vol. 2 No. 4, December, 1937 as The Repeat Bill Trick.
An Oldie but Goldie! The effect on the audience is always very surprising with this trick. I think as magicians we are jaded with this type of effect, but lay people seem to lap it up!
Effect: The effect presented is that of the popular repeat six card trick, but the counting is accomplished in a much more natural manner than the method commonly employed in the card feat. Moreover, the use of real money in quantities always impresses an audience—they just can’t help feeling that you are no shoestring performer, even though you may also do tricks with shoelaces!
