See-Thru Block Box by Mel Babcock

This is a heavier and better quality one than the Mikame Craft one that is currently doing the rounds. Great job as ever by our guy Mel Babcock! Mel produces two sizes, this large 3″ and a smaller 2.5″ here.
Effect: A cube is placed into a double-compartment box, similar to the die box. This box also has a sliding weight for the standard sucker effect. In this case, when the cube is shown to have vanished, both front and top doors are opened, the back is opened, and the two end panels are lifted out. This leaves a skeleton framework of a box which may be shown from all sides.

Much better than Mikame version
I saw the Mikame one first and liked the effect, but haven’t been all that impressed with the quality. Being somewhat a collector of Babcock items, when I found out he also had a version, there was no question (well maybe other than Owen) that this is the model to get. The cube really does vanish!

Doesn’t get any better
I did a show last night for and with my fifth graders, an older kid thought he new it all so I asked him to put his hand of each side of the cube and then sit only few feet away— he was amazed as it diappeared and really enjoyed the rest of show with no more — I know how it is done remarks !!!
