Ring In Salt by El Duco’s Magic
(c. 1976) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)The magician borrows a ring, which is then wrapped in a of cloth. A lady holds the wrapped ring in one hand and a saltshaker in the other. Her task us to make the ring disappear with the help of “magic salt” and make it re-appear again in a small jewelry box. After a few unsuccessful attempts the ring does disappear but, unfortunately, does not turn up in the jewelry box. Instead, a noise is heard when salt is sprinkled over the jewelry box, and the lady finds that the ring has appeared in the saltshaker, although she had been holding the ring and the saltshaker in her hands all the time!!!
Effect: You show an examined rope. The spectator takes HIS finger-ring and threads it on the rope. You lay your hand around the ring and rope. Ask the spectator to tie the two rope ends together, so there is NO chance for the ring to come off. You give the spectator a saltshaker and ask him to pour little magic salt over your hand. He is asked to hold his hand under yours to catch the ring when you open your hand. Your hand is taken away and there is nothing there but the rope. THE RING IS GONE!!!
The spectator opens the saltshaker and pours out the salt, and THERE IN THE SALT IS THE BORROWED RING!!! Can you think of a stronger CLIMAX?? No substitution, it’s the same ring which the moment before was threaded on the rope.
An item of absolutely top quality. Complete with precision made apparatus, rope and routine. From 2012 a new model with wider salt shaker (to accommodate larger rings), we added a lot of extra threads to the lid, to make the unscrewing process longer and made a new design of the bottom.
