Nest of Boxes (Himber) by Viking Mfg.
(c. 1997) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)In my opinion, this is still the best single person nest of boxes on the market today! The gimmick is perfect and it works every time with no issues or awkward moves. Of all the nest of boxes I’ve owned this is the one I use actually use in performance.
Effect: Load right in front of your audience; no special tables, gimmicks etc. Imagine a beautiful mahogany treasure chest trimmed in brass and secured with a brass padlock. The performer borrows a wrist watch which he causes to vanish. The chest is brought forward to the footlights to allow a spectator to open it. Inside is a walnut box which the spectator removes and opens. This exposes another beautiful box locked with a padlock. The spectator unlocks this box and lo and behold, the missing watch is found resting safely within!
Remember this: The chest is always in full view. Once the spectator touches the chest, the performer’s work is done. There are no special tables or outside gimmicks. Nothing is added or taken away. All padlocks are genuine. The handcrafted mahogany chest, trimmed in solid brass measures 10 V2″ x 7″ x V I”. Both inner boxes are also made of select hardwoods with brass hardware.

Even Better than Before!
In my opinion, this is still the best single person nest of boxes on the market today! In fact they are even better than the last round as George has added some nice inlay work to the middle sized box. The gimmick is perfect and it works everytime with no issues or awkward moves.
These have been off the market for some time and I don’t know how many Viking have, but I would suggest that you don’t wait and go buy a set today. I should know, this is my second set and this time they are here to stay.

Beautiful and Simply the Best Nest of Boxes…Period.
The Viking Himber Nesting Boxes are the very best on the market. The Viking quality and attention to detail is second to none. The method is marvelous and is the perfect solution for a single-person performer…or this set can be used with an assistant. The versatility and incredibly well-disguised method make this one of my favorite props for any venue. The price is high, but totally worth it for such a quality prop that I consider to be an instant collector piece.
