What a clever piece of magic from the amazing Pavel. He gets a lot of mileage out of this fairly simple set of props, and it is easy to do filled with striking and visual transformations. This is one you probably haven’t seen. Everything is self contained and because of the holes in the dice you can see right into the cubes and everything appears to be above board.
Effect: Two large cardboard cubes (dice) are displayed. One is red and the other is blue. Instead of the regular spots there are holes made in them. A red silk is placed into the blue die and a blue silk into the red die. Then the dice are covered with rectangular tubes. When the latter ones are lifted up the silks are seen to change places. The red silk is in the red die and the blue silk in theblue die now.
The effect is repeated. This time a yellow silk is tucked into the blue die and a green silk into the red die. The tubes are placed over the dice. When the tubes are lifted up again, the audience can see that one die has become yellow and the other one green according to the colors of the silks they hold. The dice are shown from all sides. The tubes are empty.
I’ve added all four silks (Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green) and it now comes with everything needed to perform out of the box.
