Premier Checker X by Woodmagic Studio
(c. 1995) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Howard Hale and his Woodmagic Studio were only around for a few years in the late 90’s but they made some really beautiful magic, my favorite being of course his amazing Comedy Table Legs. Just one look at this fine version of the classic Checker-X (invented by Arturo c. 1945) made from premier select African Zebrawood, South American Purpleheart, Austrailian Lacewood and American highly-figured Bird’s Eye Maple has your heart beating a little faster! All of your favorite exotic woods together in one place.
Effect: Four large wood checkers are threaded onto a rope and and the rope is securely tied. This checker necklace is placed over a spectators neck with the checkers hanging behind their back. Although threaded on the rope you reach behind their back and removes three of the checkers. The rope is removed and the last checker is still securely threaded on the rope.
