Ping Pong Fantasy by Trickery
(c. 2003) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This is something I haven’t seen elsewhere. Similar in method to Thayer’s stunning Perfecto Billiard Ball Stand c. 1919, though not as pretty of course, but for the price not bad at all. the elegant chrome stand allows you to vanish or appear three ping-pong balls just by waving your hand in front of the holders.
Effect: Bring up an audience member. Show and empty cloth bag both inside and outside. Give them the empty bag and instruct them to hold it high above their head. Introduce a metal stand that holds three ping-pong balls.
One at a time you remove the balls and actually hit them with the ping-pong paddle. As you hit each ball, your audience hears the paddle smack the ball … BUT THE BALL HAS VANISHED! OR HAS IT TURNED INVISIBLE? In the end, your audience member reaches into the bag and produces the three ping-pong balls!
