Pene Picks Improved (Pen A Picks, Pin Cushion Hand) by Bill Tresslar

This looks very real! If you look at the photos of this effect it should look very realistic to you. The picks are nearly all ungaffed and it really looks like you are sticking them straight through your hand. A clever optical illusion is played on the audience and I use this as a warm-up for Death Trap so it has even more impact.

Effect: A finely made black lacquered wooden cabinet contains a silk, which is removed and tied around your left arm, then your left arm is locked inside the cabinet. A display stand, matching the cabinet, displays 7 wood handle ice picks. One at a time, the picks are inserted into the cabinet visibly, penetrating your fingers and even your palm. The ice picks stick out the bottom of the cabinet. Remove the picks, withdraw your hand and it’s in perfect shape. This is a great mechanical self penetration that looks absolutely rea las you can see your hand inside penetrated at all times.
