Neptune’s Chest by Harry Stanley, Unique Magic Studio
(c. 1955) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This effect was invented by R. N. (Norm) Menge c. 1954 and sold as the Egyptian Water Box by U.F. Grant. When Harry Stanley imported it to the UK he renamed it Neptune’s Chest. The version pictured is a later version sold by Ron MacMillan’s Internation Magic Studio c. 1975.
Effect: Box is shown EMPTY . . then a GLASS of WINE is produced . . next silks are produced. Box is closed up, and WATER is poured into it . . box is opened to show that the liquid has Vanished. Finally, a large tumbler of beer or lemonade is produced. MANY, many more effects are possible with this ingenious box .
- NO covers of any type are used to keep the liquids from spilling.
