Missing Spade by Wayne Rogers

(c. 1996) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This was invented by Wayne Rogers of New Zealand.

Effect: You hand a spectator a rolled-up banner. A card is selected and shown to be the Four of Spades. You wM’ announce that you are going to find the selected card. Unfortunately, you fail every time! You then take the banner and unroll it, displaying the Three of Spades. Audience informs you that it is the wrong card. You exclaim: “You mean I am one spade short?” With that you reach behind the banner and pull out a full-size construction worker’s spade! Where did it come from?! Easy to do. Quality construction; workable under any conditions. Comes with everything you need to perform, including durable vinyl banner, shovel and Wayne’s hilarious routine.
