This type of Magic Welding Tray or Chain Welding was invented by Louis Nikola c. 1940.
Effect: Simple but effective! A well made wooden tray and aluminum cup are introduced. The contents of the cup are poured out onto the tray and the cup is clearly empty. The contents is lots of small separate metal rings. The rings are poured back into the cup, and the magic word is ushered and when the rings are poured back onto the tray they are now all linked.
What a nice outfit and a clean mystery with the right presentation.

Simple but effective!
This is a nice unknown manufacturer piece I just picked up from ebay. The tray does all the work and is nicely made and finished in wood.
Nothing too complex here and the switch is logically hidden by the pouring of the rings into the glass, for a surprise ending of the rings joining together to form a chain.
