Jack and Jill Remake by Unknown

(c. 2010) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This is a remade version of Viking’s  Jack and Jill Jumbo which is an updated version of the Steve Dusheck and Jim Hill effect: Cases of Metamorphosis c. 1984.  All of these effects are versions of Al Baker’s Cherchez la Femme.

This is a nicely made version, though heavier and not as fine as the Viking version.  The addition of the separate stand allows you to show the cards in the stand before you begin so that you can show the cards and the frame cleanly to begin with. The holes to see the jumbo card through the frame could be a little larger.

Effect:  Two jumbo playing cards are shown on the stand and cleanly shown on both sides. A wooden frame is shown on both sides with a red and black dot and three holes in the center to ensure nothing passes by without being seen. The red Jack is placed on the side where the red dot is and the black queen is placed on the side where the black dot.

The cards are checked one more time before placing the frame in the stand. The centers of both cards can be seen through the holes in the frames at all times. With a simple snap of your fingers, the cards switch places!

When you remove the cards, you may hand them out as well!
