Ed Massey’s Carioca Production (Asian Style) by Limited Edition Magic

Joe Long and Paul Lembo are back creating some of the most amazing mechanical stage props from yesteryear. This beauty comes from a very rare item created by the mechanical genius himself: Ed Massey c. 1950. It is a very deceptive production item that can produce a huge load from a cleanly shown empty box. With Paul Lembo’s magic touch, Ed Massey never looked so good!

Effect: A square tube 6″ X 6″ X 12″ has a door at either end so that the performer may thrust his arm completely through thus proving the interior empty. The doors are closed and the tube held by its handle at the top as a skeleton stand is shown with no bottom in it. The tube is placed down in the stand, as in the illustra­tion, so that it is raised above the table top. Now the top door is opened and the production begun.

It will hold an astonishing load of these fruits and vegetables which when piled in a wicker basket make an impressive appearance. The Carioca Production may be used for an enormous quantity of silks, rabbits and doves. It is fully automatic, as the action is accomplished by the mere act of closing the doors.
