Death Trap by Unknown
(c. 1997) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)I really love this effect! It can certainly be played for laughs, but with a very real sense of Danger. The secret with this one is to really throw it around, and make sure everyone realizes how sharp the knife is. When performed correctly, this is always a crowd pleaser!
Effect: A wooden-plank with 5 slots is displayed. A spectator steps up and, while performer is blindfolded and back turned, freely chooses a slot and places a real hunting knife in it, blade-up! Spectator then covers all the slots with paper sacks. Performer turns around, still blindfolded, and with bare hand crushes all the sacks but one-the one with the knife under it!!
Remember:
- The knife is ungimmicked!
- The bags are ungimmicked!
- Performer’s back is turned!
Performer can be blindfolded! - Work it anywhere under any conditions!
Death Trap comes complete with a custom-built wooden-plank, hunting knife, blindfold, and routine. Looks deadly, but new self-contained technology assures performer’s safety! Each one hand-made.
