China Change by Sterling Magic

China Change was invented by Johnny Benzais and a number of coin dealers have manufactured their versions – this one by Sterling Magic.

Effect: This is a close-up gem and the Benzais routine makes it a transformation triumph. Don’t blink your eyes or you’ll miss it. A quarter is balanced on one fingertip, palm up, and the hand is obviously empty. The hand is turned palm down and up again quickly. In a flash the quarter has changed to a Chinese Coin with a hole through the center, which can now be displayed on the palm-jp hand. The same hand is still obviously empty! This coin may be dropped into the spectator’s hand, and he may examine it to his heart’s content, because he’ll never be able to detect how the change took place. The precision gimmick, as well as a routine including several methods of handling make this a great magic bargain.
