Block, Bolt, and Coin Pentration by Mel Babcock, Kenard
(c. 1943,1998) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)This effect was originally invented by Kenard as the Block and Bolt Trick and available from multiple dealers c. 1943.
Effect: A small wood block, which has a hole drilled lengthwise through the block, and a slot from top to bottom at right angles to the hole, is displayed. A 3 inch bolt is placed through the hole and a wing nut is placed on the end. A coin is now placed in the slot where it is held there by the presence of the bolt. At the magician’s command, the coin visibly passes through the bolt and drops into the spectator’s cupped hand. The wing nut and bolt are removed and everything is handed to the spectator.
