Rhine’s Dice by Magic Wagon

(c. 2013) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

My most recent batch of Magic Wonder marvels was filled with some really amazing items. I particularly like this one as it something that looks very intriguing, and at the same time totally above suspicion. The tower is designed to create Test Conditions for throwing dice, by using the tower any potential for trickery is removed. And yet the magician can throw any number asked for between 2 and 12 (there are two dice thrown).

What is particularly amazing to me is that no matter how many times I throw the dice I have never missed once – I always get the number I was attempting to get. This is the sort of thing you could easily have in your magic den or on your desk. It certainly is an attention getter!

It is 100% foolproof and nothing is added or taken away, but you can always predict what the dice will display. No electronics either.

Effect: For many years we have had requests to produce an effect where the performer can control the values rolled with two dice, at last we have found the proper techniques and right materials to make them!

The performer invites a spectator to freely choose a number between 2 and 12, and begins to tell a story about an American parapsychologist J. B. Rhine conducting a PK experiment to determine if a person could influence the outcome of falling dice. He then displays a clear dice tower with a small glass bowl and states that a dice tower such as this will eliminate any dice throwing technique to “will” certain numbers of dice to appear. The performer then cleanly shows the dice and rolls them down the tower to match their selection!

Next, the performer offers to repeat the effect with another freely selected number but to make it even more impossible, the spectator is invited to blow the dice from the top of the tower and lo and behold, the outcome still perfectly matches their own selection!

The dice tower is nicely made of clear Acrylic with solid brass fittings. It measures approximately 5” x 8.5” x 7.5” high.
