The Missing Design by Black Hat Magic

This is a combination of Bob Page’s Business Card Paradox and Jack Ruda’s Turning Stone from the Taiwan company Black Hat Magic and it produces a very clean and satisfying magical prediction.

Effect: A large face down playing card that is cut into four pieces. six cards numbered 1-6 and a die are shown.  The spectator gets to shake the die and each time they shake a number that matches one of the face up cards, that card is turned over revealing an ESP symbol.  The process stops when there is just one ESP card still face down.

Now the jumbo card is turned over and reassembled and five different ESP cards can be seen in the design, but now there is a big square missing from the design – how did that happen?  The size of the missing piece is the same size as the ESP cards and so the one they chose is turned over and it turns out it is the precise missing ESP symbol!
