Another Electronic Marvel from LabcoMagic

By now it is obvious who is making the best electronic magic today: Soren Harbo and his team at LabcoMagic. This final piece for my collection is the epitome of why their magic is so great – no sign anywhere of electronics and beautiful old world craftsmanship combined together to create an amazing piece of mental magic.

100% reliability is necessary for any sort of electronic effect – you just can’t have it work 90% of the time. This is where LabcoMagic really make their mark. The box arrives in the mail and once you have figured out how to turn it on – which is always a challenge since they do such a great job of hiding everything – it just works from then on.

I’m not sure which is my favorite item of theirs but they are all special in their own way and I am very proud to have them sitting nicely in my Collection.

Effect: With Mental ESP you receive a beautiful handmade wooden box With a border of intarsia, inlayed wood. Included are two chips, turned in walnut and with wooden inlays, wenge on the dark side and maple for the bright side. Also included is your secret electronic weapon!

Invite a man and a woman to help you. Give them one of the identical wooden chips each. Turn your back and ask them to decide which of them who is going to place their chip at one of the symbols in the box. After that they close the lid.

Immediately you can – still with your back turned – say:

1. If it was the man or the woman who placed their chip in the box
2. Whether the dark or the bright side of the chip is up
3. On which symbol the chip is placed.

This information is sensed by the electronics in the box and transmitted to you in up to 15 meters distance. You decide if you want to get the information on the display or just feel it by the hidden vibrator. If you (or the spectators) look at the mahogany box, you will find nothing suspicious. Only when you know how to open it, you will see something that makes you feel like 007. You also get the two chips, the electronic sensor and an English instruction. This item will be your personal favorite for many years!
