Effect: “We often hear the phrase, ‘Left on the cutting room floor’ to describe scenes or actors cut from a pre-release version of a movie. Here are almost a dozen and a half actors and actresses in film frames scattered across that cutting room floor and here (turning the card over) are the movies in which theirs was a pivotal performance.

“Look please at the stars from those films and pick out one you find to be interesting. At the very bottom of that, frame you’ll find both a movie title and a date of release – got it?

“On the reverse side are the film titles. Please locate the film in which your freely selected personality played the leading role and make a note of the Hollywood studio that released the film.

“Focus on the star, the movie, and the studio that’s enough to keep in your mind; the date is trivial. Let’s see where your thoughts lead us.”
