Posi-Negative by Lubor Fiedler, Supreme Magic Company

(c. 1965) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This was invented by Lubor Fiedler c. 1965 and originally sold by Henk Vermeyden (the founder of FISM) in Holland. Then it was also a very popular item sold by Supreme Magic c. 1970.

Effect: Another fantastic origination from that clever inventor of novel magical principles, Lubor Fiedler of Czechoslovakia.

It’s a gag that’s a stunning magical effect! A trick which will mystify you yourself as you perform it, for it uses a most ingenious magical principle. Magician shows a wooden frame (Approx. 8″ x 4″). In the frame there is a printed card.  On the white card, boldly printed in black is a word.

Magician shows the card to the audience, asking them to remember the word. “What word did you see”, he asks. “That’s quite correct. Was it black on white, or white on black?”

“Are you positive?” he asks. When the frame is turned around, the word IS there, BUT now this is shown in big, bold WHITE letters against a black background. AN ASTONISHING CHANGE! NOTHING TO STEAL AWAY!

The magic is SO CLEVER that you can actually perform the effect VISUALLY, the audience will still have no idea as to how it was done. The letters seem to CHANGE BEFORE THEIR VERY EYES! A truly fantastic effect you’ll enjoy using.
