The Jumping Stool was first introduced by Harry Stanley’s Unique Magic and created by Jack Hughes c. 1947 and it has been used by magicians and clowns alike ever since.

Effect: The Jumping Stool can be used in many ways . . Performer rests his foot on stool casually, while talking . . the stool slowly collapses . . and then springs up right into the hand !

Can also be used as a surprise seat. Member of audience is requested to be seated and to his, and everyone elses surprise, the seat collapses flat and when victim moves away to get up again, the stool springs up into the air! !
