Effect: The performer produces a very fine looking pistol. He explains that it is fully charged with a high explosive and so properly prepares the audience for the big “Bang.” At the crucial moment instead of a large bang, the barrel opens up and swings around, making the barrel twice as long. A silk jumps down at the same instant on which is printed in large letters ‘Bang!’
