Zig Zag Dollar Bill Box by Mel Babcock

Another beauty from the Mel Babcock’s Magic House of Magic.

This is not the same effect or method as Robert Jackson’s Zig-Zag Bill, but it is from an old idea around the same time.

Effect: A small box is opened and inside is a one Dollar Bill. The bill is taken out and replaced with half of it sticking out. Box is closed over the bill with half of it sticking out of the Box. As magic pass or tap and the box is opened again.

Now the half of the bill in the box is slid to the other end. Really looks weird. Bill is slid back in alignment, lid closed and after a magical tap the whole bill is removed, the box opened and show empty.
