Zig Zag Coin (Snakewood) by Mark Teufel

Collectors appreciate this incredible piece of apparatus because they’re not always available and each one is unique and a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Inspired by Tenyo’s similar effects with cigarettes and ropes, the illusion somehow seems even more impossible using a coin.

Effect: A Kennedy half dollar is placed into a thin wooden holder and strapped in with a brass bar. The coin is immediately zig-zagged so that it’s split into three separate pieces! The pieces of the coin may be dumped out and examined. They’re placed back into the cabinet. The center piece is now slid back, visibly restoring the coin! The cabinet is opened and the coin passed for examination.
