Zig Zag Coin by Conjuror’s Workbench
(c. 1993) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Jack Ruda was behind Conjuror’s Workbench and created this item based on Mark Teufel’s amazing version of the Zig Zag Coin. Apparently Jack said that Mark had given his permission to create this version, but that contradicts what Mark Teufel has said subsequently. Nothing much changes in the wonderful world of magic. This was constructed of black walnut, hand-rubbed to a furniture-grade finish with inlaid wood and polished brass hardware.
Effect: A Kennedy half dollar is placed into a thin wooden holder and strapped in with a brass bar. The coin is immediately zig-zagged so that it’s split into three separate pieces! The pieces of the coin may be dumped out and examined. They’re placed back into the cabinet. The center piece is now slid back, visibly restoring the coin! The cabinet is opened and the coin passed for examination.
