Where Is the Red Chip? (Mentale Poker-Chips) by Magiro
(c. 2008) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Magiro’s magic, like Lubor Fiedler’s, is sometimes hit or miss. While the methods are always interesting, some of the effects are much better than others. This one is a complete fooler.
Effect: Two white chips and a red chip are shown along with a wooden cover and a magic wand. The performer turns his back and the spectatorstacks the chips in any order and places the wooden cover overall. Turning around, the performersimply taps the cover with the wand and is immediately able to name the position of the red chip in the stack (top, middle or bottom)! This can be repeated as much as you want.
And best of all … everything can be examined before, during and after the routine, yet it’s all self-contained with no external pieces used and nothing concealed. Just a very clever piece of magic and beautifully made.
