Toast To Houdini by Frontier

Effect: A newer release from Frontier Magic who has been creating some clever and very well made apparatus. Telling the story of Houdini learning the secret of the Chinese Goblet Escape, you demonstrate the effect. A crystal goblet is displayed along with a beautifully decorated wooden cabinet, and a length of chain with padlock. The chain is placed around the goblet, which is placed inside the cabinet. The ends of the chain are pulled through an opening in the front door, and the ends padlocked together. It would now be impossible to pull the chain through the opening, as it’s securely around the solid glass inside. Yet, the performer takes the cabinet and slowly pulls the chain  completely free from the glass.

An interesting effect, with an unusual method. And a method that will take some practice to do smoothly, as there’s a certain “knack” to it. The props are beautiful.
