Skeleton in the Closet (Skelett im Schrank) by Hummel Magie

(c. 1998) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This is a beautiful variation of the skeleton in the closet purchased in a German flea-market c. 2005. The most impressive version of this effect was created by Tony Lackner here and released by Eckhard Boettcher c. 1981.

Effect: Showing a handsome wooden case, 3 blocks are stacked to reveal “Mr. Bones” the skeleton. After the blocks are placed in the case or “closet” in the correct order, Mr. Bones is always scrambled in the wrong order when the case is lifted — the “head” part of the body is seen to travel around! Finally the head block is vanished from a handkerchief and reappears in the right position when the case is lifted!
