Silver Dollar and Brass Washer by Mel Babcock

At 85 Mel Babcock is still making some of the best wooden props around. Here is a cute little effect given the Magic House of Babcock touch.

Effect: A small wood box is shown. The lid is removed and a large brass washer is dumped out onto your close up pad.

The washer is made to penetrate through the table top. It then is changed into a silver dollar. Then it changes back into the washer. Finally, it vanishes and is found under the lid of the box which has been on the table all the time.

(Please notice you need a black close-up to do this but I did not use one in the photos because the photos did not come out as well.)
