Runaway Deck by Collectors’ Workshop
(c. 1985) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Effect: A wonderful gag deck from Collectors’ Workshop:
- Performer does card masterpiece.
- Masterpiece fails.
- Deck tries to commit suicide before audience does.
If you’ve longed for an animated deck with a mind of its own (and who hasn’t), this is it! “Now for my greatest miracle,” declares Conjurer. At that moment, deck begins to sneak silently across table, “Stop.” commands the Wonder Worker. Deck obediently stops on command — considers what is to come — then continues to run away. Limitless possibilities with this, the close-up worker’s most candid critic.
Pack moves sans thread — sans all outside attachments. “Must be a bicycle deck,” theorizes fast thinking Wizard, deck moves again. Performer picks up pack and reads small print. “That explains it: Rider Backs.”
Make your card magic a truly moving experience.
