Rat Traps by Bob White, Emerson and West

(c. 1978) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Effect: Take an extremely clever idea by Texas magician Bob White using a Rats and Traps theme; add a few touches applied one evening over a bottle of Scotch by Art Emerson, Larry West and Bill Wells, and you have a story routine about three devious rats and three ineffective traps.

Twice the rats escape, but finally they are magically caught at the end of the story. This entertaining routine is very easy to do. The routine is basically an ‘Oil and Water’ type effect – but the clever use of pictures instead of playing cards makes a different type of magic your audience will enjoy.

As always this effect comes with all the cards complete in a neat plastic wallet to carry them cleanly and safely.
