Quintupaddle (Quintapaddle) by Bob Kline

The name of this effect is Quintupaddle (as it shows on the instructions in the photo and magazine adverts from the time) but it is also spelt Quintapaddle in Bill King’s book on Bob Kline. Either way it is a five phase paddle trick created by Bob Kline for Gene Gordon’s Magic Shop in Buffalo, N.Y.

Effect: You show a paddle and tell how the three traffic lights, red, yellow and green change to all red, all yellow, and all green. Then they enlarge in size. Size of Paddle: 4 3/4″ x 1″ across top. About 500 of these were made.

There was also a Giant version (10″ x 2.5″) of this paddle but only 3 were made for Bob’s own use originally.

Comes with a great patter story from Gene Gordon which begins:

“Did I ever tell you about the time I got three traffic tickets all within three blocks and all from the same officer … and yet I had never had to pay for one of them?”
