Prison Block (Willi Wessel Collection) by Alan Warner

(c. 1981) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

For more details on Willi Wessel’s unique Alan Warner collection click here.

Another rarer item from Alan’s second Mini-Magic catalog c. 1981. The mechanism is very similar to the classic Vampire Die created by Ben Wallace but it has been changed to work in a close-up environment with a much smaller tower just 3 1/2″ high.  The illusion is very effective even close-up and Alan’s has worked through all the angles as always to produce a very clean penetration.

Effect: A solid colored wooden block with a hole running through the center of it is dropped into a cabinet and a wooden rod is then passed through holes in the sides of the cabinet and the one in the block.

The block, thus imprisoned inside the cabinet, CAN BE SEEN CLEARLY THROUGH THE OPEN WINDOW OF THE CABINET. It appears impossible for the block to escape from its prison, and yet on the magician’s command, THE BLOCK DROPS OUT OF THE CABINET while the rod remains in position, clearly visible through the window.

THE PERFECT ESCAPE – A TRUE ILLUSION!

The cabinet is made in teak.

The apparatus comes complete with The Alan Warner Routine.
