Penetration 360 by Magic Wagon

What a beautiful and effective fooler this penetration effect from the amazing Magic Wagon is!  I’m featuring a wonderful video by Simon Corneille because his presentation is the opposite from Magic Wagon’s, but it is the perfect way to perform this miracle!

Effect: A beautiful wooden cabinet is shown, along with a sheet of brass. The brass sheet is openly inserted into the cabinet through a slot in the top and then tapped with one of the metal spikes to prove that it is perfectly solid. The doors are now closed and fourteen solid spikes are then pushed through all sides of the cabinet creating the illusion that they are penetrating the solid sheet of brass inside! The cabinet is then shown all around so that all of the metal spikes can be seen passing completely through it! The spikes are then withdrawn and the brass sheet is immediately removed and shown to be undamaged and still perfectly solid! There is no explanation for how the metal spikes could possibly pass through the cabinet in 3 directions while the brass sheet is inside!

The effect has been inspired by Merv Taylor’s The Great Leon’s Glass Penetration, however; with this version, all 14 metal spikes can be inserted all the way through the cabinet at the same time! To the best of our knowledge, this feature wasn’t possible with the Merv Taylor’s models. An ingenious addition to this amazing effect and, of course, a very cool and clever mechanical piece!

The cabinet when closed measures approximately 10.5 cms by 10.5 cms and is completely hand-crafted from genuine teak with lightly distressed oil finish and finally adorned brass dragon shields. Each Penetration 360 comes complete with a custom designed display stand.
