(c. 1994) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)Effect: The magician places a penny and a nickel on the table. He then places an empty (and transparent) glass salt shaker over both coins. The coins can be seen through the shaker bottom. A spectator chooses one of the coins, let us say, the penny. The performer taps the two coins with the shaker and the penny vanishes and reappears – inside the shaker! (And, yes, it really is inside the shaker.) The performer than turns over the shaker “to shake out the penny through the shaker top hole” and a shower of copper pellets fall to the table! And the penny is nowhere to be seen – and the shaker is empty!
