Mulholland Coin Box by John Mulholland
(c. 1966) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)An interesting coin box from John Mulholland that comes with a unique coin gaff created specifically for the box. Look in the expanded version of Bobo’s New Modern Coin Magic (pg 491) to find some effects for this box.
Effect: Through a cross-breeding of the Okito Box and the Al ‘N’ Nate Coin Box Mulholland produced a box with which several startling tricks can be done. These are particularly strong when combined with other coin magic to form a routine, for with this box one con or six can be made to disappear and reappear. Also, a single coin placed in the box by a spectator can be pushed through the box and the hand of the magician.
While it is possible to show the trick with this box while standing, most magicians will find them particularity suitable for close-up table magic.
