Micro Sliding Cube Box (Die Box) by Thomas Pohle

Another clever beauty from the prolific German craftsman Thomas Pohle. Thomas continues to amaze me with his incredibly precise and intricate magic. This is very different from normal die boxes in that there are no typical shells and or double doors, but you are still able to show the block inside the box at any time or vanish it completely!

Thomas has made the gimmicks to such tight tolerances you can be watching this right up close but you’ll still not see a thing. Really beautiful work.

Effect: For those not familiar with this style die box, you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

• there is no typical “shell” as with a standard box
• there are also no “double doors” – yet – you can show the block inside the box at any time or have it vanish completely whenever you like.

And the illusion is perfect from extremely close. The box also includes the “sliding noise” feature so you can perform as a typical “sucker” vanish.

Thomas’ finish on this piece is really beautiful. Note the designs on the silver cube and I really like the color choice and finish on the cabinet.
