Lian Chu Goes to the Market by Francois Danis

(c. 2014) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

This effect is based on a an old children’s toy of the 1930’s: “The man in the barrel”. Others, including: Fred Kaps, Ken Brooke, Herbert Martin Paufler, Tony Lackner, Vienna Magic, and more recently Francois Danis, have also created effects with the same basic principle.

Francois’ routine is actually quite similar to the version released by Viennamagic called Reanimated.  It is a higher-end version and works really well.

Effect: It is a limited edition of 24 sets. All the props are hand made, and hand decorated and each set is numbered and signed, and comes with its instructions fully detailed and illustrated, and a great routine. The carrying case is made of oak plywood and boxwood inlays. The little China man, the barrel and the pagoda are made in painted wood.
