Jumping Toothpick by Jeff Busby, Joe Porper

(c. 1979) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

The Jumping Peg first started showing up in magic catalogs c. 1903 but I believe the effect is from much earlier.  The first ad I found was in the Roterberg Catalog #8.

Effect: A time honored classic with a new and different ending. The toothpick jumps from hole to hole in a beautiful handmade birch wood paddle. The spectator is invited to try but can’t… THE HOLES HAVE COMPLETELY SEALED UP! Only one paddle is used and it will withstand the most rigid examination. A mechanical masterpiece.

Comes complete with instructions and leatherette case.
