Invisible Quarters (The Invisible Coin) by Loftus International

This was first released by Tannen’s c. 1971 and called The Invisible Coin.

Effect: This is one of our favorite close-up tricks! After the spectator examines a clear glass a deck of cards is fanned front and back, showing the cards to be a regular deck and then shuffled. Then you reach in your pocket and act like your have two invisible quarters. “Have you ever seen invisible quarters?” “No.” “There are two of them.”

Take the glass back and holding the deck of cards in the left hand, place the glass on top of the cards with the mouth of the glass down on the center of the deck. Then pick up one of the invisible quarters and smack it on the top of the glass & it penetrates through the glass & lands on top of the deck! The quarter is now visible as it penetrates the glass. The quarter is is slid off the deck and onto the table. Your spectator is asked if they would like to see it again. Replace the glass & repeat it a second time & they STILL can’t figure it out!
