Grandfather’s Coffin by R.A.R. Magic

Effect: A quality effect for the close-up magician, with a good comedy angle. First we have Grandfather’s Coffin which will create interest straight away. Well made and decorated in black and silver, size 5″ x 1J” x 2″. Then there is the comedy patter which tells of the antics of Grandfather (even though he is dead) with a bottle of milk and a bottle of beer. Regardless of how the beer and the milk are changed around, when the lid of the coffin is lifted Grandfather still manages to be at the right end.

The climax comes when the beer and the milk are removed, the lid is lifted … but crafty old Grandfather has his own supply, for under the lid there is his own special brand in a wine glass (miniature, of course!).
