Crystal Mental Die by Magic Wagon

For many years Tony Anverdi’s Mental Die was the pinnacle of this type of effect. Since then there have been many versions – some good and some not so good. Easily the best from a collector’s standpoint would be Labco’s Mental Dice, and from a performers standpoint Craig Filicetti’s Multi-Dimensional is clearly the stand out effect.

However, if you were looking for the best Mental Die available today, in the tradition of Anverdi, then you should look no further than this new item from Magic Wagon. This is a truly beautiful item that looks amazing and uses a crystal clear die to rule out any trickery. It can be examined before, during and after and freely handled throughout the performance. The system is all remote controlled with visual or vibration notifications and works every single time. You never need to touch it or look at it and yet you can always tell what number is facing upwards.

A beautiful teak wood stand and a transparent die are displayed. The performer picks up the die and shows it all around to assure that the die is not gimmicked in any way. While the performer’s back is turned, a spectator is invited to place the die with his favorite number on top onto the stand and then cover the lid. Before the performer even turns around, he correctly announces the selected number without touching or even looking at the stand!

The effect can be repeated over and over again and everything can be completely examined before, during and after the effect. The performer, of course, is absolutely nowhere near the stand during the performance – the receiver can give you both visual and vibrating signal.

Each stand is delicately hand-crafted from teak and adorned with a Victorian style glass knob and solid brass feet. Each die is seamless with the dimensions of 1 3/4 inch cubed.
