This is a dressed up version of an old principle that works very well. The block and cabinet are very solid and beautifully made. The doors are a bit too tight when you first get it but after a few practices this loosens up ok. If it wasn’t for Magic Wagon’s Chiang Mai Block this Crystal Dice Cabinet would have no peers, but nothing tops the Magic Wagon version – it is stunning.
Effect: A Beautiful, Collector’s Piece of Magic History… A high-class, polished mahogany apparatus with ornate brass hardware. Two pieces of thin rope are threaded through the see-thru A Crystal Die, then put into the Cabinet. The rope is threaded through a hole on both sides of the Cabinet and the lid is closed to secure the Die. One piece of rope from each side is wrapped over the lid and tied in a knot. If you desire a spectator’s hand is put below the knot on the lid. Open the front doors, the Die and rope are securely tied in the cabinet. You give the rope a tug, the rope ESCAPES from the Die and Cabinet! The spectator doesn’t feel a thing!
Some good news: it doesn’t use any threads, there is nothing to switch, and reset takes about 10 seconds.

No new concepts here, but beautifully made all the same!

The effect is certainly easy to do and it is a real fooler. You simple show the cord running through the cube and box, then close it all up and on your command the cord penetrates the box, and everything can be examined.
