Coin Blocks by Alan Warner

(c. 1990) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Effect: The performer displays two blocks of wood that are resting on top of each other. He then removes the top block to allow the spectator to see that the lower block has a recess in which sits a coin.

The performer now removes the coin and places it in his pocket, then covers the empty recess with the solid block. A magic pass is made by the performer who then removes the top block to reveal that THE COIN HAS MYSTERIOUSLY RETURNED TO THE RECESS.

Next, the coin is marked, placed back in the recess and the other block is dropped on top of it. Another magic pass is made and the top block is again removed to reveal that THE COIN HAS DISAPPEARED FROM THE RECESS. The marked coin is now found back in the performer’s pocket.

FIRST CLASS APPARATUS:

  • The blocks which are made in teak, oiled and then hand-polished, measure approximately 4.75 x 4.75 cms.
  • The apparatus comes complete with The Alan Warner Routine.

    No frills, but still works!

Alan is not breaking any new ground here with this probably his cheapest item! But although its simple it still works! Bascially, coin in placed in the box, taken out and it reappears. Even after they sign their name on it.
