ChipSwitch by 3D Magic Works

(c. 2016) (Submit Review) (Submit Update)

Kent Bergmann is back with his amazing new line of magic: 3D Magic Works and the very positive reviews are flowing in.

There have been many chip routines over the years one of my favorites coming from the great Willi Wessel. This is a well produced, bright and colorful set with a well trusted method, easy to follow routine, useful carrying case and an amazing price!

Effect: Performer presents two chips to have color on one side and be blank on the opposite side, one black chip with blank back and one purple chip with blank back. Performer then stacks the two chips and places them, color side down, into the spectators open hand. The performer than has the spectator turn his/her hand over and then reaches into the spectators closed hand and visibly removes one of the chips… say the purple chip is seen to be removed by the performer. The performer than closes hand over the purple chip and asks the spectator which color chip they have in their hand. The spectator replies that they have the black chip. The performer then lightly taps the spectators closed hand with his/her closed hand and asks if the spectator is sure. The performer asks the spectator to open his/her hand to show the black chip, the spectator does so but instead reveals the purple chip in his/her hand. The performer then opens his/her hand to reveal the black chip. The performer then stacks the chips in his/her hand and closes it as before. The performer explains he will try something by removing one of the chips all together and do this with just one chip. The performer reaches into the his/her closed hand and visibly removes the purple chip again and puts it in his/her pocket. The performer explains how this could not be any easier for the spectator to name which chip is in his/her closed hand. The performer asks the spectator which chip is in his/her hand. Again, the spectator is sure it is the black one. The performer opens his/her hand to once again reveal the purple chip, the performer removes the black chip from his/her pocket and places it upon the purple chip in the spectators hand so all may be examined.

This fun set includes a ornate 3D printed round box to house the the chips. The light brown parts of this set are 3D printed using a beautiful filament that has been infused with genuine wood.
