This effect is based upon a poker chip trick by Erhard Liebenow called Color Miracle.
Good old Willi! This is a wonderful routine with beautiful props from the amazing Willi Wessel! What I really like in the routine is how clean everything looks and how much Willi makes out of some relatively simple props. Also in the routine he ends up 100% ready to roll again. The beautiful box that houses the chips is also designed such that they are securely held in place during transport so you could comfortably use this for multiple tables at a close-up event. Watch the video and enjoy a master at work!
Effect: The magician shows six white poker chips on both sides. Five of them are stacked and covered with a small silk. A cylinder, which is as high as the stack, is centered over the silk covered chips. As soon as the chips are pulled out of the tube by stretching the silk, the white inserts of the chips have changed into red, blue, yellow, orange, and green. After having touched the colored chips with the sixth white chip, the performer changes them back into their original white color and shows them, front and back, one at a time.
